Ian was the sort of bloke who would make one smile when entering a room you knew he was in, or more usually could hear he was in. I am smiling now, just thinking of him, even though we have lost him.
His wit was the sharpest, quickest and funniest; my last conversation with him refers;
Wicksie: Can you still play the gig in September?
Granty: Do I get my own dressing room this time?
Wicksie: There's a light in the back of my van....so yes!
Kim, Sarah and Jonathan, our thoughts are with you. Our duty is to continue smiling when we think of him, as we shall do.

Fond memories of our schooldays, where you were always the joker making us laugh, mind you, not always at the appropriate of times (which made it even funnier). Glad to see that your sense of humour continued throughout your career too!
You were popular, a talented athlete, footballer, musician and scholar. It was obvious that you were going to be a success in anything you turned your hand to, and you was.
It’s hard to believe that you’ve gone so soon, Ian, far too early.
I will miss your infectious laugh, and listening to your jokes and stories over the occasional pint or two.
God Bless you, Wicksey
